Fundraiser for Autism Tree Project Foundation San Diego

Last February 9th I had the opportunity to put my talents to work towards a great cause during a fundraiser to benefit the Autism Tree Project Foundation at the Walk In Salon by Robert Cromeans.

Dayna Hoff founder of this amazing foundation invited me to do live painting during the event which was a great success. Everyone in attendance had a great time getting their hair done, socializing and just having fun while helping support this great cause which raises money for research to find a cure for autism.

I had a great time, thanks again to Dayna for putting this event together and for inviting me to be a part of it, by the way her husband ended up buying my piece…gracias!

San Diego Wall Sessions

This project was done on April of 2011 and it’s one of the first walls I did, since it wasn’t posted on the site yet I thought I would go ahead and put it up to share with everyone.

Arturo Gonzales a local business owner and entrepreneur was kind enough to let us paint on the outside of Hart Lounge a Hooka & Coffee Lounge located at 734 Park Blvd. downtown San Diego, CA.

The project features the talents of two other well known artist, Michael Amorillo aka Monstrinho who rocked his angel face (character in the middle) and world renowned Dave Persue who included his trademark character Bunny Kitty (character on left).

Few & Far Women Glow and Beth Emmerich attract local media coverage in Tijuana

January 20th 2012, Tijuana, BC.- Local artists from Tijuana and San Diego have made their impression on a local pedestrian bridge in one of the busiest avenues in Tijuana. The project is one of many taking place during “Espacio Vanguardia” which is an initiative aimed at the region’s artists, community leaders and college students on both sides of the Mexico / U.S. border, which promotes an open dialogue on issues like public security, migration, urban art and culture.

Beth Emmerich & Gloria Muriel (Glow) are among the San Diego artists who are currently participating in the project, using their talents in a collaborative effort with Tijuana artists to beautify the city’s public spaces.

Gloria Muriel mentioned to the local media she always welcomes the opportunity to work with other artists in projects that promote a positive message. “Our goal is to create something that people will look at and get a positive reaction from”.

The proejct is scheduled to be finished today, and it’s already in display to the entire public.

January 17, 2011 San Diego, CA.- In 2011 I was contacted by Urban Art Farm to participate on a project/wall located on Turquoise Street in La Jolla. Like any other project funding is needed in order to make this happen, that’s where Urban Art Farm comes in. They are a public benefit non-profit focused on the beautification of San Diego’s urban neighborhoods. Their goal is to connect property owners, students and local artists, with resources for public art so projects like this one can be made possible.

The goal is to raise $5,000 to fund the project, so far as of this morning there’s been $535 raised. If you would like to help the cause you are welcomed to do so by donating through the PayPal widget located on the side bar of this site, or by visiting the official project link.

Big thank you to Urban Art Farm for promoting art in our city through their initiative, and a HUGE THANK YOU to you beautiful human beings who have donated so the project can become a reality.

Wall in “El Mirador”

January 16 2012, San Diego, CA.- Continuing work on the suburbs of Tijuana, this time with the collaboration of a great artist and friend Beth Emmerich. This particular piece is located in a part of Tijuana called “El Mirador” which means “View Point”, located 2 miles from the beach.
